Review of the August market

August 26, 2010

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who braved the wind and came down to support the second market on Tuesday, we all had a great time, and again there was a lovely vibe around the market. We were visited by our local MP Steve McCabe and Birmingham City Council’s Minister for Culture, Leisure and Tourism Martin Mullaney – they both seemed to enjoy it. There was heaps more arts at the market this time, with lots of demand for stalls – there’s clearly a burgeoning crafts industry developing in Birmingham, which bodes well for the next exciting market to launch in Birmingham this weekend – Handmade Birmingham. We discovered a lovely little write up of Tuesday’s market on the Tourist vs Traveller blog, you can check it out here. That’s all for now – the next market is the 28th September.
