Thanks to everyone who came along to our July market this week, and especially to Bike Man Dan Hayward for his musical accompaniment. As well as being a fine blues-man, Dan is also a mobile bike mechanic, so cyclists: click the link above to visit his website and save his number on your phone.
This July marks one year of trading for Stirchley Community Market, and we’re really happy about how the market has become established, how it continues to promote the community feel of the area to both residents and non-residents, and how it has become a regular fixture on people’s calendar, as well as a casual shopping destination.
Our Annual General Meeting/1st Birthday Party will be on Thursday 28th July at 7.30pm in the front room of Stirchley United Working Men’s Club where the market is held, and everyone is welcome. We’d love to see lots of customers and current and potential stallholders there. The meeting should last around an hour, and followed by music from Stirchley’s vinyl king and SCM record stall-holder, Tim Gascoigne, as well as Stirchley Happenings spinning a few tunes. If you’ve got a track you’d like us to play (vinyl only) then bring it along. There may even be cake.
We hope to see you all on the 28th.
