We have our biggest market to date later today – with 30 stallholders selling their goods at the Stirchley United Working Mens Club, 4-8pm. We have stallholders situated both inside and outside the club today selling a variety of locally produced goods from the B30 area and slightly beyond. Here’s a list of who you’ll see:

FOOD: Frost and Snow • Artisan Preserves • jACKrABBIT • Martineau Gardens • Trushul Raw Chocolate •  Loaf & Stirchley Stores • Wolsey Sausage •  Hibiscus Grove • Jo’s Coffee

NON-FOOD: Jackie Sanderson • Roxie Collins • Tim Gascoigne Records • Cath/Jenny • Twinkle • Phillippa Rymill • Joan Nock • Spangle Dangle • St Mary’s Hospice • Sweetheart Designs • LizzLizz & Carla Smith • Northfield Eco Centre • Pananche Gifts • Lara Shoe • Catherine Oldfield • Bike Foundry

At todays market, Stirchley Happenings will be selling tickets for their Halloween event, The Wicker Man. Tickets are £4/£3 concessions, and they’re screening it on the 31st October 2012 at the British Oak pub. On their blog they have a flyer with more information. In other British Oak news, straight after the market The Laughing Sole Comedy Club starts at 8pm.

The Stirchley Community Market is a lovely social and shopping occasion. Come down and support your locals after school or after work – we look forward to seeing you later today!

  1. I was hoping to come tonight and help out with Stirchley Stores stall (I am an active member and I supply preserves to the store) but I have a governor’s meeting at Dame Ellen Pinsent school where I am chair of governors.

i was wondering if there is any chance you would reconsider my application for a stall at Stirchley Community market? I originally applied earlier this year and rightly so, you said there was no room for another preserves business.

However as the market is growing……. any chance of a stall for next month??!! I source th majority of my ingredients locally and I have foraged as much as I can along the River Rea (Selly Park and Stirchley) – you can’t get more local than that!

I look forward to hearing from you.
